Lindsay Thompson, Soprano
Lindsay is now eighteen and has been studying voice privately for
nine years.  She received an Honorable Mention at the CAPMT Honors
Auditions at age 12. She participated in the Passagio Chorale as the
section leader for two years.  Also, Lindsay has taken part the
excellent Peninsula Teen Opera group for six years
(www.teenopera.org), as both a stage director and singer.  She served
as the Student Liaison to the board of directors for three years.  In the
summer of 2003, Lindsay studied voice and opera at The Voice
Seminar at Roberts Wesleyan College, NY, and the Vocal Arts
Symposium in Spoleto, Italy with world-renowned Italian bel canto
coach, Enza Ferrari. She has soloed in concerts in Rochester, NY, and
the Teatro Nuovo opera house in Spoleto, Italy. In a recent solo
performance in Princeton, NJ, she was accompanied by a string
quartet from the Philadelphia Orchestra. In the past year she has sung
the National Anthem at the 2003 U.S. Track and Field Open at Stanford
University, and the Regional Tae Kwan Do Tournament in San Jose.
She also participated in the No Longer Alone Ministries benefit
concert, raising over $30,000 two years in a row (2003-2004).

Lindsay has studied piano for nine years and continues to enjoy it
immensely. Her other joys include baking, swing-dancing, listening to
music (especially opera!), and sharing her faith with children as a
teacher for Child Evangelism Fellowship ministries (CEF). She hopes
to pursue her love of music, and also her love of education. Lindsay is
currently receiving letters of acceptance from various schools.  She
hopes to pursue a professional opera career, or wherever else the
Lord may lead her.
